Installation
Prerequisites
Installation of the BDA Solutions requires the BDA Core Technology Pack zip file and product keys for the purchased Solutions.
The person installing the Solutions must have OneStream Administrator rights.
Installing
Upload Install zip
Navigate to the Load/Extract Application tool:
Select the install zip file:
Click on the Load button:
The import process begins:
When complete, a success message appears in the upper right corner of the OneStream client:
Note that neither the Workflow Profile nor the Scenario are selected in this example because this is an initial connection to GolfStream. Typically, the installer has already used Workflow. If a complete Workflow has not been selected, the installation process will fail.
Application Dashboards
Navigate to the Application Dashboards tool to view the three BDA Dashboard Maintenance Units:
Open the Dashboard Group BDA FW Setup and run the BDA_FW_Dashboard_Setup dashboard:
The installation dashboard has three general functional areas:
- Installation key text box
- Install button
- Release notes
Installation Keys
Each Solution has its own key. Copy and paste them into the Key Management text box, with each key on its own row:
Click on “Click to Install/Update BDA Solution”:
An error will appear if your username has not been granted encrypted Business Rule access:
Navigate to Application Tool Security Roles and change the EncryptBusinessRules to Administrators:
After assignment, be sure to save the change and then rerun the install process. A successful installation will show the below confirmation dialog box:
Perform a full application refresh. The BDA Dashboards will appear:
Updates, Configuration, and Uninstalling
There are four general functional areas:
- Product Selection
- Check for New Version
- Configuration
- Uninstall
Product Selection
This dropdown shows the available BDA solutions:
Check For New Version
Clicking on this button will confirm if the installed version is the latest release:
A dialog box will show if a new release is available:
If there is, connect to Partner Place and download the latest release.
Configuration
Based on the solution selection, the Configuration textbox shows the available properties:
There are three general functional areas:
- Save Changes
- Revert Changes
- Restore to Default
Save Changes
After making a change, commit the new values.
Revert Changes
After changing the value but before saving, undo any property change.
Restore to Default
Regardless of property setting, go back to the Solution property default.
Uninstalling
Click on the Uninstall button:
Based on the Solution Pack, individual Solutions can be removed:
An uninstall confirmation dialog box appears:
A success dialog box summarizes the uninstalled Solutions:
